Can Glucotor interfere with medications?

Despite claims you may see on some internet sites, Glucotor v.2 is not a diabetes formula and is not sold as a diabetes supplement. Glucotor v.2 is a combination of natural fibers and beneficial ingredients. Many people take Glucotor v.2 with their doctors guidance along with their regular pharmaceutical prescriptions, and are seeing very positive results. If you are on any medications or in doubt about beginning any new product, its advisable that you consult your physician first.

How much fiber is in Glucotor v.2? Do I still need to supplement with psyllium?

Each Glucotor v.2 capsule contains less than 700 mg of fiber. That means that, at most, Glucotor v.2 provides less than 4 grams a day. But the fiber in Glucotor v.2 is not the same as the psyllium fiber. The Glucotor v.2 fiber is actually used in the intestinal tract to fill carbohydrate receptor sites. Psyllium provides water-soluble bulk fiber that helps keep fecal matter moving along. In other words, even if you are using Glucotor v.2, you will want to be using psyllium or ground flax seed in addition.

How long does this product take to notice a difference in healthy blood sugar levels?

Clinical testing showed that some people lack sufficient stomach acid to break the Glucotor capsule down in a timely manner. For those people, we found that if they take the Glucotor out of the capsule and drink it down mixed with a little water, they start to see results. Also, keep in mind that Glucotor will not mask your symptoms like other products can. Instead, by taking Glucotor as suggested, it is supporting your body's ability to correct the underlying problem. It may take 30-40 days, or even more in some cases for you to begin to see significantly positive results.

Can weight loss occur when taking Glucotor v.2?

Yes, absolutely -- depending on where your calories are coming from. Since Glucotor v.2 works by reducing the rate at which you utilize calories from carbohydrates, it can promote weight loss in people who get many of their calories from carbs. It is likely the weight loss will stabilize at 10-15 lbs (if it's just the Glucotor v.2 that is affecting your weight).

I've been using Glucotor v.2 and my blood sugar levels still go up after I eat. Why is that?

Everyone has some sugar in his or her blood. The normal blood sugar level ranges from about 70 to about 120 in people who don't have diabetes. Blood sugar levels go up after eating for everyone, but return to the normal range within one to two hours. This is true even if you use Glucotor v.2. However, it should go up less if you're using Glucotor v.2 than if you're not. A good blood sugar range for most people with diabetes is from about 70 to 120. This is before a meal -- like before breakfast -- or four to five hoursfter your last meal. Your blood sugar level should be less than 200 about two hours after your last meal. However, these goals vary depending on the person.Your fasting blood sugar level -- taken over time -- is a better indicator of how well Glucotor v.2 is working for you. In other words, is it trending down? But best of all is an A1C test taken before you start using Glucotor v.2 and a follow up test taken 3 months later. That will give you the most accurate picture of whether or not Glucotor v.2 is helping to lower your blood sugar levels.

Why do you recommend checking with my doctor before starting Glucotor?

There are two reasons. First, we do not diagnose or prescribe for specific medical conditions. Second, if you are under a doctor's care for any condition, you need to keep your doctor informed of anything you do that might affect that condition. If taking Glucotor v.2, for example, changes your condition, your doctor needs to be monitoring you closely so that he/she can adjust your medication accordingly.

I am pre-diabetic. Would Glucotor v.2 be effective for me?

Why don't you sell Glucotor v.2 in powdered/bulk form like the Superfood or Accelerator?

"Once the powder gets on the tongue it will kill the taste of anything sweet for up to an hour. To test this, take the Glucotor v.2 powder out of the capsule, put it on your tongue, swish it over your tongue for 20-30 seconds, and then eat something sweet like chocolate. Since the Glucotor v.2 has blocked the sweet receptors in your tongue, the chocolate will taste like dead lard. Incidentally, this actually is proof the Glucotor v.2 works. The ingredients in Glucotor®v.2 block the carbohydrate receptors in your intestinal tract -- thereby slowing down the absorption of sugar -- in the same way they block the absorption of sugar in your taste bud receptors. PS: Some people, particularly as they get older, no longer produce enough stomach acid to easily break down the Glucotor v.2 capsules and, indeed, need to take the Glucotor v.2 outside the capsules -- in a little juice. Even for these people, though, there is an advantage to starting in capsules. It makes it easier to measure out the right 1 or 2 capsule dose."

Is Glucotor a good companion for Accelerator? Doesn't it restrict carb absorption?

Glucotor v.2 doesn't restrict carb absorption. It assists in slowing it down, which helps lower the body's glycemic response. In fact, Accelerator also contains Banaba Leaf, as does Glucotor v.2, to assist in the process. Accelerator contains activated barley, an extremely slow absorbing carbohydrate -- again, for the same purpose. It wouldn't hurt to take Glucotor v.2 with either Accelerator or Private Reserve Superfood (particularly if you're using them in fruit smoothies). However, the real benefit is to use the Glucotor v.2 with your non-Accelerator/Superfood meals -- thus extending the benefit of slow absorption to all your meals.
